We see hope in Mabel.
Mabel, 14, comes from a family of eight children and is a pupil at HOPEHIV-funded Masaka School for Special Needs in Uganda.
“I am very happy to be in Masaka School, because I can communicate easily (through sign language) with teachers, my fellow students, even my family members back home. This was not evident before I joined Masaka. In Masaka we are playing different sports including netball and football as other normal schools do.
My future plan is to become a shop keeper: I enjoy selling goods and keeping money.”
